If you are using digital photos...

Digital photos are the easiest photos to include in your video slideshow. Follow these easy steps to make sure we receive the proper file types.

1. We only take jpeg files. Since your photos are already in digital format, they are most likely in the proper format. Check to make sure the file ends with ".jpg".

2. Name your files in the following format: 001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc.. Make sure you don't start with 1.jpg. The number you give the file represents where it will show up in your video.

3. Double check that you have numbered your files correctly. If we receive files which are not properly ordered, we will simply create the video in the order they show up on the disc that you give us, which will most likely NOT be the order which you had intended!

4. Burn your disc and you are ready to go!

If you are scanning photos...

If you feel uncomfortable scanning in your photos yourself, we will be glad to do that for you. However if you are brave enough, scanning is quite simple. Just follow these instructions!

1. Make sure your scanner bed is clean. Any dust or scratches which are on your scanner will show up on every photograph you take.

2. Please scan your photos in at a dpi of 200. This is a higher resolution that we would typically need, but it allows us to scale photos without compromising the clarity. If your photo is very small, use a higher dpi.

3. When you finish scanning your photo, make sure you save it as a .jpg. Name the photo the number you would like it to appear in the video starting with 001.jpg. This is critical in ensuring your photos show up in the order you had intended!

4. Please do not name your photos starting with 1.jpg. Double check to make sure you have started at 001.jpg.

The final steps...

If you are using both scanned files and digital photos, it's a good idea to create a folder on your desktop with the order in which you'd like them to appear in the video before burning your cd. That way you will get a chance to see everything in order in both formats!

If you have finished preparing your photos, all that's left is to burn a CD. We haven't received any CDs or DVDs we have been unable to read at this point, so you should be ok with whatever works best with your computer.

Feel free to contact us with any questinos you may have. We will be glad to answer them!
